Train to reach Sicily

It’s fascinating to travel by train. It is possible to arrive from abroad and take a Eurostar to Roma, Napoli or Napoli. From there, you can take the Express Train to Sicily.

Intercity connections from Roma, Milano, Messina, and the first Sicilian Station are possible.

You can also travel by train if you prefer to do so. There are trains that run from Torino and Genova, Milano and Bologna, as well as Firenze and Venezia.

After you reach Villa San Giovanni where the port at Messina Strait can be found, the train will be disassembled and passengers will board the train for free. It is possible to stay on the train during the ferry crossing, but we recommend that you reach the ferry bridge to enjoy the fresh air and Sicilian atmosphere. If you’re lucky, dolphins may be seen swimming alongside the ferry during the journey.
